NS250R

While i was at the AMA races at mid-ohio last weekend i saw an NS250R for sale. It was red and white, bodywork looked like my 86NS400
It only had 2 exhaust silencers, 1 high, 1 low.
Just wondering what the engine configuration is?
Horsepower?
Was this bike sold in Canada/US or maybe Japan import?

Elmarie Thanks for the informative story. I will have to keep an eye out for one of these in the future. Very cool machine!

rzypvs Unfortunately i did not get the price or the phone number. The fellow had his RV there and a couple of older well used bikes for sale. The bike needed a restoration for sure but it sparked my interest.

I saw a few here. It looks excatly like the ns but with a different engine. pretty cool

it's even an nc19 too

Out of topic: How you doing Rvt2002? I read your forum regarding the accident. No disrespect rvt...Thought it should be out here for future long hauls and rides, Rvt's group was involved in a terrible accident recently with an over shoot and his riding buddy didn't make it...sorry bro, my condolences

The NS250R isn't a NC19.
Only the NS400R is a NC19.

250's will be:-
MC11 - The NS250R
MC16
MC18
MC21
MC28

An NS250R isn't a NSR250.

that's strange, the one i saw had nc19 on its chasis.

Hmmmm. Semantics more than anything else I think. The NS set the mould for an aluminium framed V twin 250 and the NSR's were updates/revisions on the theme.

Then it will have had an NS400 frame. The bikes were very similar. The NS400 was developed from the 250 and was therefore really a large engined 250.
